I have always enjoyed the comfort and style of sedans so it was no wonder that my dream car would be a Cadillac. Love at first sight and so begins the long road of ups and downs, satisfactions and disappointments, me and my Cadillac…
Installed the bumper fillers and bolted on some trailer-lights. While I figured out how to repair the original taillights, slapped a bungee cord to the trunk, ripped the old vinyl top off, and changed the spark plugs and lines. Oh yeah, after experiencing a brake outage while driving through town, I limped my baby back to the parking lot outside of work. For the next couple of weeks I spent my lunch hour every day replacing all four rotors and brake calipers, using a single jack and a cinder block for safety.
Picked her up for $700, and spent a week making it street ready. Not shown are original hubcaps.
Engine Specs:
425ci, 4-barrel carb., 7-liter big block,
Cadillac
Look what I found beneath the vinyl. Also completely rusted out, the sheet metal between the drunk and back window. Trouble areas are replaced with pulled parts welded or bolded in.
This car is not going be brown no more, hell no it’s time to paint this beast with some smooth midnight-blue paint with pearl effect topped with a snow-white rag top.
Yeah I got dual exhaust FlowMasters running from a massive 425ci engine. It makes a sound like Blahlablablabla...
More to come...
